In any industry it’s important to do things right, but if you are testing a part that is crucial to keeping a plane flying, it can be a matter of life or death. As one example, when one of our clients needed to test refurbished parts to qualify them for installation in planes, they turned to us to build a test system that would do so accurately, reliably, and efficiently. The resulting design required custom mechanical designs, involved air and oil hydraulic systems, very high current motors, and reliable software to tie it all together. We had the multi-disciplinary capabilities to deliver a LabVIEW-based system that not only did the job, but did it much better and faster than the original test system.
The result was a system that provided measurements with over ten times the accuracy, and record repeatability, and did so with over eight times the throughput. This saves them time and money, but also gives them much more reliable assurance that they are distributing reliable parts for the safety of their customers and their passengers.
