Careers

We currently have the openings listed below for qualified professionals. While some engagements are at customer sites, typically in the Twin Cities metro of Minnesota, telecommuting is also frequent. Our selection process is very vigorous, but the rewards of being part of a highly select team are worth it. To obtain enough talent, despite our stringent selection process, we cast a wide net. In some cases, we offer some relocation assistance and provide visa sponsorship. (However, to successfully interact with our clients and your co-workers, fluency in reading, writing, speaking, and hearing English is required.) In our process, we will be vetting for the minimum requirements, as well as other criteria. If you do not meet the minimum requirements, please do not apply. Also, we are entertaining only applications directly from candidates. No third-party bids, please.

If you meet the minimum requirements and want a challenging and rewarding career, working with an extraordinary team of accomplished systems developers, send your CV to the following: Careers@ComputerSolutions.com

Questions also can be submitted to that address. Any candidate meeting the minimum requirements for careers at Computer Solutions will get a response. No phone calls please.

Computer Solutions, LLC (CSL) is a rapidly-growing systems engineering and consulting company headquartered in the Twin Cities area of Minnesota. We are seeking an account and field sales manager in Northern California. Our company is fully remote based, so this will be a distributed position with no brick-and-mortar facilities. The seed for this office is an account manager and a field sales manager, preferably the same person. At first, this branch will apply engineering resources from MN for local projects, but the branch office will hire and manage local engineers.

That includes working with engineers to size projects, write proposals, close deals, and manage client expectations. A primary goal is to build and maintain a great relationship with the Testforce account managers in the territory. This role works with other sales staff in mutually reviewing proposals and other significant communications before delivery to clients. The second role is Field Sales Manager. The Field Sales Manager reports directly to the President and is responsible for helping to recruit and hire local team members for the branch, prioritizing clients and projects, and supporting local team members. This role will also cooperate with other key positions and stakeholders, including engineering, accounting, HR, marketing, and sales.

Minimum Requirements: BS in engineering or physics, or BA in a sales-related field with strong engineering education. Experience with consultative selling. The successful candidate will be acutely familiar with and be able to travel within the San Francisco Bay area, specifically Silicon Valley. CSL requests full vaccination of its employees or reasonable accommodations for those unable to receive vaccinations, as many of our clients require this status.

Ideal: Advanced degree(s) in physics or engineering, with a proven track record of successful consultative selling. Also successful track record managing a branch office. Experience and knowledge of Biomedical and Biotech industries.

Nice to have: MBA. Experience with and knowledge of data acquisition (DAQ) equipment, mainly from National Instruments (NI).

This first position is open to fill as soon as we identify the right candidate. This is an exempt position (base + commission). We project this branch will employ 6 – 8 people by the end of 2024.
